Polyimide Film CR

Polyimide Film CR

Corona-resistant polyimide film: superior anti-corona, thermal stability, dielectric strength. For motors, transformers, inverter-fed systems, high-voltage insulation.

The corona resistance enhances service life and operational efficiency compared to conventional insulation materials.
Polyimide film CR is a homogeneous film with improved resistance to the damaging effects of coronal partial discharge, compared to traditional polyimide films. In addition to its corona-resistant properties, polyimide film CR also offers the excellent, physical, electrical, thermal and chemical resistant characteristics typically expected from polyimide films.

Applications

Polyimide film CR has been developed for use as an electrical insulating material in high-voltage environments where the potential for corona discharge exists. It is commonly used in industrial motor and generator applications as magnet wire, turn-to-turn strand, coil, slot liner and ground insulation materials. It is also used to form laminates with other materials, such as Nomex paper or mica insulations, to provide customized electrical insulation properties.
Our products can serve as a substitute for DuPont’s Kapton.
